I have Spyware Gaurd 2008 on my laptop. How do I get rid of it?

Xoftspyse

I have downloaded Malwarebytes, but IT WILL NOT OPEN. I tried the renaming the file trick but it still wont work. The same thing is true for SpyHunter and XoftSpySE. The only thing that works is Avira and that didn’t get rid of the virus/malware. I’m not very comfortable removing it manually either because I’m afraid of messing up my computer. If you have any suggestions of programs that may work or how to get the one I have to open, it would be greatly appreciated.
I installed everything but when I click on it, it still will not open so I can run it. Any ideas on why it wont open and how I can get it to open?

Chosen Answer:

1 find the file that supports the spyware. (go to your start menu and go to “search”. do a search on the name of suspected spyware.)

2 delete it, it’ll probably have an error message, if it does then go to the task manager ( ctrl, alt, del) and go to processes find the suspected spyware and end process.

3 go back to the file and delete it. it should go away with no problem.

If that doesn’t work then use an antispyware software.

SpyHunter – view by many as a rogue program.

XoftSpySE – once listed as a rogue program.

Spyware Gaurd 2008 – rogue program.

How many rogues do you want ?

You could try restarting in Safe mode and see if you can install it then. If not, Bleeping Computer, Major Geeks, Geeks To Go, Daniweb and various other sites are all good places and will walk you through exactly what to do and I know that BC and MG will get you to copy and paste text into NotePad, save the file with the name they tell you and then run it as a kind of “mini program” to remove the things that need removing. Give them a try but don’t forget to find out what they want you to do first and then post for help:
